What is Hyundai P0335?
P0335 means the ECM is not receiving a valid signal from the crankshaft position sensor. Without this signal, the ECM cannot determine crank position and will not fire injectors or ignition. On Hyundai Epsilon and Kappa engines, the CKP sensor is located near the crank pulley and is vulnerable to heat, oil contamination and vibration.
Symptoms of P0335 on Hyundai
Engine cranks but will not fire — most common symptom.
Engine cuts out while driving without warning.
Engine starts then dies immediately after firing.
RPM gauge not moving while cranking confirms CKP signal loss.

How to Fix P0335 on Hyundai
Check for spark and injector pulse during cranking — absence of both confirms no CKP signal. Test sensor resistance (should be 500–900 ohms on most Hyundai). Check sensor wiring for damage near exhaust manifold. Replace sensor with OEM or quality aftermarket part. Clear codes and verify start.
